Goods and services mandated agencies

Find out which organisations must comply with the goods and services supply policies.

The VGPB’s policies apply to:

  • government departments and specified entities
  • the Victorian Public Sector Commission
  • those offices or bodies specified in section 16(1) of the Public Administration Act 2004
  • Administrative Offices established in relation to a department under Section 11(a) of the Public Administration Act 2004

Departments that must follow goods and services supply policies

  • Department of Education and Training
  • Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning
  • Department of Health and Human Services
  • Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions
  • Department of Justice and Community Safety
  • Department of Premier and Cabinet
  • Department of Transport
  • Department of Treasury and Finance

Offices or bodies that must follow the good and services supply policies

  • Commercial Passenger Vehicle Commission
  • Essential Services Commission
  • Game Management Authority
  • Independent Broad-Based Anti-Corruption Commission
  • Infrastructure Victoria
  • Office of Public Prosecutions and Associate Crown Prosecutors
  • Office of the Chief Commissioner of Police (Victoria Police)
  • Office of the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability
  • Office of the Commission for Children and Young People
  • Office of the Legal Services Commissioner
  • Office of the Ombudsman
  • Office of the Commissioner for Privacy and Data
  • Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner
  • Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner
  • Victorian Auditor-General's Office
  • Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation
  • Victorian Electoral Commission

Other government organisations not covered

Apart from those listed above, all other government organisations and local government are not mandated to comply with the goods and services supply policies. However, they are encouraged to apply best practice procurement policies and processes.

Other government organisations and local government can choose to align their policy for goods and services procurement with the supply policies.
